1. Unplug power cord and cable from printer only.
2. Restart computer.
3. Plug power cord and cable back into printer after computer is fully up and running.
Another way, anticipating monsoon outages and surges, is System Restore:
Select "restore my computer to an earlier time">Next
Click on date when your printer was working fine>Next
Save changes, close programs>Next
Restart computer, following instructions
If that doesn't work,
1. Find your printer software CD.
2. Unplug cable from printer. (Software instructions will usually tell you this.)
3. Go to start > new programs > click on printer program > click on "uninstall software". Follow instructions. If this works, go to step 6.
